American Academy of Pediatrics
For the year and a half following the pandemic, routine childhood vaccinations rates dropped as families avoided visiting their pediatricians during the height of Covid. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) asked Brody PR to design a public education campaign to address this problem. Our challenge? To design a campaign for multiple chapters and populations all across the country. It had to be flexible, simple, and impactful. And it was not about the Covid-19 vaccination, but rather, routine childhood immunizations.
We built the campaign to reflect: diversity, positivity, simplicity, urgency, trust, and shared responsibility.
Results
We came up with three themes and a host of graphics that could all be mixed and matched:
• "Let's Get Back on Track"
• "Let's Get Back in the Game"
• "Let's Get Back to School"
The simple and direct campaign mantra:
"Let's Get Back on Track with Routine Vaccinations. Now is the time to catch up. Call your pediatrician today. Visit www.healthychildren.org."
We created social media content, posters and fliers, and PR materials for infants, elementary age and teens, all which can be customized for each chapter and target population. Here's a small sample of some of the campaign materials.
