IAPSC was considering hiring Brody PR when September 11, 2001, shook the world.
Realizing that security consultants would be in huge demand during and in the aftermath of the crisis, Brody PR began working with IAPSC from Los Angeles at 8:45 am PST on 9/11/01. We issued media advisories through all the available channels, put a media area up on the IAPSC web site, and corralled the members of the association (located throughout the world), determining each individual's areas of expertise and contact information.
Results
- Fed a hungry media machine desperate for reliable information on terrorism, security and safety
- More than 300 media placements in national, regional and local print and electronic media, including the Wall Street Journal (US and Europe), the New York Times, CNBC, National Public Radio (NPR) and USA Today -- within the first two weeks.
- Took IAPSC from a relatively obscure association with almost no public profile, to a premier - and trusted - source of information to the media.
- IAPSC became a recognized resource of security consulting services for industry and businesses.
"To say thank you for the instantaneous and extensive efforts you undertook on behalf of our association related to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is simply an incredible understatement. The amount of media coverage and awareness you generated for us was nothing short of astonishing. Your professionalism is beyond compare."
